The number of teams participating in the 2023 ICC Cricket World Cup is expected to remain consistent with the previous edition, with 10 teams anticipated to compete. The proposed format follows the round-robin style of the 1992 and 2019 cricket world cups, wherein each team competes against the other teams in a randomly selected order. The top two teams from a semi-final between four teams will advance to the final.

Tickets for the ICC World Cup 2023 will go on sale very shortly. The International Cricket Council (ICC) will prioritise the issuance of tickets or stadium passes for critical matches.
Fans can purchase tickets via the ICC Cricket World Cup website or app. Tickets can also be purchased through the Paytm Insider and BookMyShow websites and applications. Only a small number of tickets will be available for purchase outside of the stadium.
Ticket prices will range from INR 500 to INR 20,000, depending on the stadium and the level of hospitality. Any cricket venue in India would have a basic ticket price of INR 500-800.
The World Cup 2023 day games will begin at 10:30 a.m. IST, while the day-night games will begin at 2 p.m. IST. Live streaming of the ICC World Cup 2023 matches will be available on the Disney Plus Hotstar application and website, while the matches will be televised on Star Sports Network.
